Other regions that saw increased activity included Italy (11.3%), the Rhone (1.7%) and the Others category (3.5%).
The top traded wine this week was Lafite Rothschild 2009. The wine scored a perfect 100-points from James Suckling back in March, who said that “this is what the Medoc is all about”. It last traded at £7,111 per 12×75.
Fellow First Growth, Margaux 2007 was also among the top traded wines this week. It’s last trade price of £3,423 represents a 39% increase on its release (£2,450).
